If you’re like me, you can’t resist picking up all those e-books at 99c — or less — and testing how many e-books I can fit into the 3GB of user memory on my Kindle 3. I don’t know the answer yet but it’s going to add up to an awful lot of words. Certainly more words than I have lifespan to read. In the coming year, I think a lot of people are going to realize that the latest eReaders can easily store more books than they can ever read. What will happen when tens of millions of people hit that realization?
I wrote an article at Indie Book Lounge to explain what I think will happen next. What do you think?
